This is a scan of the book Cradle to Cradle written by William McDonough. I placed it here, because it is beautifully explained how we humans value destruction. But most importantly it says and I quote "Lets not make a mess here and go somewhere else , even if we know how to." He is saying that even if we discover how to live on mars, lets not trash earth and then go live there to trash there too. Now I don´t know when this book came out, but could it possible haven goten this idea from the movie Wall-e? Where it deliberately shows us how we have been manipulated into what to believe and making the nvironment adapt to us and not otherwise?

Its funny how I can easily connect this with my own life. I have been told a couple of times here in New Zealand, outside my own Habitat, that I don´t respect others, and I don´t care about where others come from ,and what are their values. It isnt true. But people reach that conclusion because I simply want the environment to adapt to me, and not the other way around. Iwant people to accept me the way I am. So I barge in, yelling, giving my entire potential to show all at once who I am, hence discosidering how that environment has been kept alive. Now I havent really had problems with the kiwis, but yet with the germans, and quite frankly the brazilians, the place to which I identify it as home.Ironic is it not?

Anyways this exert talks about the way our laws prevailes the end of harmony with nature and exalts how it is great to live it without. Maybe that is how I got the acceptance in my head. Humans are influenced by their suroundings, but my culture has not taught me that, it has taught me quite the contrary,and I have fought to find some few that agree and understands, so perhaps I have unconsciously aquired this knowledge that the bussiness world that in its turn runs within all cultures, have taught through out the years.

Unconscious or not, this is knowledge, and it changes with time.It changes because we are constantly trying to grow, to understand. But we fail to understand what goes on in the present and only face fowards, we try to solve the problems ahead of us, we create problems, and perhaps this is a new approach to solve what really matters, to create solutions based on values, based on nature,based on us, not in some money making industry. Off course we must consider money to keep the economy. But it can be done!

Watch the video on TED, read the book. It is not the ultimate truth,nor is it breaking News. But it gets you thinking, and puts your linear thinking into a more circled infinite trace of thought.

o video fala basicamente como podemos suportar uma comunidade que pratica o desperdicio e que acredita em derrubar arvores para criar livros, construir brinquedos de crianca que as matarao no futuro, entre outros. O video considera uma solucao para que o desenvolvimento humano nao agrida o planeta mas ajude o a recuperar-se. Ele mostra novos pontos para os designers, arquitetos, projetistas pensarem sempre que estiverem desenhando/construindo novas ideias.

O video é muito interessante, pois relata eventos e solucoes sem parecer um missionario falando de jesus, traz logica e cooerencia. Apresenta ideias de amor mas substitui elas por valores humanos, que deveriamos mirar.

Enfim, pra quem gosta de muita informacao de uma só vez, tem o raciocínio lógico e concorda que o mundo está de pernas pro alto, vale a pena dar uma olhada!

How do I stop the air from coming back into the room?

You need ducting with a wall outlet box and non return valve, which will stop the air returning. The larger the ducting, the less noise there'll be and the better the rate of extraction. We recommend at least 120mm diameter ducting (see accessories for ducting kits).

How can I get odours out more quickly?

Try switching on the extractor hood a few minutes before you start cooking. This starts to circulate air in the kitchen which will help remove the odours.

Do metal grease filters have to be changed?

They should be removed frequently for cleaning, and can be washed in the dishwasher. New grease and charcoal filters can be bought from a Neff dealer or our spares and accessories department - some hoods have an indicator to tell you when they need cleaning or replacing.


Functions
Automatic after running

The extractor hood continues running at low speed for 10/15 minutes before turning itself off altogether.
Internal operation
Will ventilate the kitchen at hourly intervals on the lowest fan setting for 24 hours a day.

Special sensor

An ultrasound sensor controls the hood. It detects the amount of steam and will automatically set the most effective setting for you to extract the unwanted steam and odours.

Intensive setting and Automatic revert

The intensive setting boosts the extraction rate to the maximum level and is intended to cope with particularly demanding cooking conditions. Intensive is normally only required for short periods of time therefore the hood will automatically revert back to power level 2 after approximately 10 minutes.

Noise level

Neff extractor hoods are exceptionally quiet. Our model D99T7 has a maximum extraction rate of 650m3/h and a noise level of just 54 decibels. By comparison a normal conversation is about 60 decibels. The amount of noise you hear will also be determined by the length and type of ducting and the surroundings it is fitted in. If you are sensitive to noise you should consider this when you plan and install your extractor hood.

Additional noise insulation

Additional noise insulation is achieved by insulating the inside of the hood with special sound absorbing surfaces.
